From ISP to MSP: GenieATM MSP Server Helps to Create Your Value-added Services
MSP (Managed Service Provider) provides delivery and management of network-based services, applications, and equipment to enterprises. Most of the MSP managed services are IT-based infrastructure management, such as Network Security, Backup Service, Patch Service, and etc. Nonetheless, with the growing complexity and popularity of the networks today, enterprises are demanding for more advanced MSP services especially in Network Management and Traffic Monitoring Management, which has become indispensable in MSP managed service.
In addition to the powerful functions equipped with GenieATM, ISPs can also provide MSP value-added services. ISPs can increase the number of MSP collectors without restricted by network scale or total number of customers. Multiple MSP servers can be deployed in combination with GenieATM Controller to provide complete Network Management and Traffic Monitoring Management value-added services to MSP customers. GenieATM is ISPs' best choice for turning into MSPs.
Deployment of MSP Server
MSP Server provides the traffic analysis value-added services to MSP customers. It collects, receives and analyzes flows aggregated and provides a customer-facing portal site for traffic reports access. Multiple MSP administrators can simultaneously log in to a specific MSP server and view the status of their respective enterprise network.
MSP Server features the following functions:
Each MSP server supports up to 500 MSP customers and this can be further increased by deploying additional MSP servers depending on the total customer number and traffic scale. The number of additional MSP servers is not restricted by network scale and total number of customers.
Built-in modules are dedicated to collect traffic flows aggregated from routers. MSP Servers are equipped with all the functions supported in a traffic flow collector and is able to process the flow data of various traffic models. It uploads the analysis data aggregated from the backbone network to the GenieATM Controller as well as supporting various flow packet formats, including NetFlow, sFlow and NetStream.
Stores flow raw data and flow analysis reports of various MSP customer entities in the built-in data base.
Customer's Service Portal
A portal site is built in the MSP server and allows MSP customers to view traffic reports, anomaly detection reports, and perform scoped real-time online snapshot analysis. Local user accounts and privileged authorizations can also be configured and managed via portal.
Offline Report Subscription
Configurations by MSP customers to allow offline traffic reports to be dispatched on daily/weekly/monthly basis.
All the customers of MSP servers can be centrally configured via a single controller. Once the assigned MSP servers and MSP customer accounts are configured on the system controller by ISP network administrator, the MSP Customer configurations can be dispatched to the related MSP servers respectively.
